دامنه و محدوده دید باند،
حداكثر مسافت افقی در جهت مسیر نشست و برخاست هواپیما روی باند فرودگاه كه علائم و چراغهای باند توسط خلبان قابل رويت باشد.
دامنه دید باند از روی تعداد نشانگرها یا چراغ های قابل مشاهده توسط یک ناظر از انتهای باند رصد و محاسبه می شود.

The distance along a runway at which selected lights can be seen, adjusted to simulate approach visibility.
Runway visual range is obtained by an observer standing at the side of the runway in the vicinity of the threshold counting the number of markers or lights visible along the side of the runway. Abbreviation RVR
