سیستم افزاینده قدرت مانور (MCAS)
یک ویژگی ایمنی اتوماتیک در 737Max8 که برای جلوگیری از استال هواپیما یا از دست دادن نیروی لیفت طراحی شده است.
MCAS توسط بویینگ بر روی 737Max8 طراحی و معرفی شد، زیرا با توجه به نصب موتورهای سنگین تر (اما کارآمد تر ) روی این هواپیما ، باعث تغییر مرکز ثقل و همچنین خواص آیرودینامیکی آن شد به گونه ای که در زمان پرواز دستی و تحت شرایط خاصی می توانست باعث حرکت دماغه هواپیما به سمت بالا گردد .
اگر درزمان پرواز سنسورهای زاویه حمله، زاویه ای بیشتر از حد معمول را نشان دهند و خطر احتمال ورود به شرایط استال وجود داشته باشد ، سیستم MCAS با توجه به سیگنال دریافتی از این سنسورها به صورت اتوماتیک دماغه هواپیما را به سمت پایین منحرف میگرداند تا از استال جلوگیری شود.
این کار از طریق سکان افقی و توسط کامپیوتر کنترل پرواز هواپیما فعال انجام می شود .
Description
The Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) is an automated safety feature on the 737 Max 8 designed to prevent the plane from entering into a stall, or losing lift.
MCAS was introduced by Boeing on the 737 Max 8 because its heavier, more fuel-efficient engines changed the aerodynamic qualities of the workhorse aircraft and can cause the plane's nose to pitch up in certain conditions during manual flight.
Angle of attack sensors on the aircraft tell the MCAS to automatically point the nose of the plane down if it is in danger of going into a stall.
This is done through horizontal stabilizers on the plane's tail which are activated by the aircraft's flight control computer.
