Perspex

A kind of solid transparent plastic made of polymethyl methacrylate (the same material as Plexiglas or Lucite).Generally aircraft windows are made of  "Perspex" . This material is light, relatively strong (not shatter-proof, but it'll take a moderate beating) and has decent optical properties.
