Bearing cup

The hardened-steel outer race of a tapered roller bearing installed in an airplane wheel. The complete bearing consist of the cup, which is a shrink-fit in the bearing cavity of the wheel, a bearing cone (the inner race), and rollers. Grease seals and retainers keep dirt out of the bearing.
