سوییچی که بر روی ارابه های فرود ( strut) بعضی از هواپیماها نصب شده كه بصورت مكانیكی تحریك و فعال می شود. این سوئیچ جزئی از بعضی مدارات الكتریكی است كه عملكرد آنها به باز یا بسته بودن چرخ هواپیما بستگی دارد و درحالات مختلف با قطع و وصل شدن آن بعضی از سیستم ها را کنترل میکنند.
برای مثال این سوئیچ از حركت دادن اهرم جمع كننده چرخهای هواپیما وقتی هواپیما روی زمین است جلوگیری میكند. و یا برای مثال از پرشرایز شدن هواپیما روی زمین جلوگیری می نماید.
البته در حال حاضر بر روی هواپیماهای نسل جدید از PROXIMITY SWITCH استفاده میشود که فعال شدن آن مکانیکی نیست.
Description
A switch mounted on the shock strut of an aircraft landing gear. The squat switch is in a circuit whose actuation depends upon the configuration of the landing gear. For example, the squat switch prevents the landing gear retraction handle being moved any time weight is on the landing gear. A squat switch can also be installed in the cabin pressurization system to prevent the cabin being pressurized if the airplane is on the ground and weight is on the landing gear.
Currently, PROXIMITY SWITCH is used on new generation aircraft, which is not mechanically activated.
