محور عرضی یا جانبی هواپیما ،محوری که از مرکز ثقل هواپیما گذشته و بصورت موازی و یا منطبق بر خطی است که نوک بالهای هواپیما را به هم وصل میکند. با دوران حول این محور دماغه هواپیما به بالا و پایین حرکت می کند که اصطلاحاً به آن pitch میگویند.
Description
An imaginary line passing through the center of gravity of an airplane and extending across the airplane parallel to a line joining the wing tips. The lateral axis is also called the pitch axis, and movement of the elevators rotates an airplane about its lateral axis.
