اداره حمل و نقل هوایی فدرال (FAA) سازمانی است وابسته به وزارت حمل و نقل ایالات متحده امریکا که مسئول تنظیم و نظارت بر حمل و نقل هوایی غیرنظامی و همچنین بهره برداری و توسعه سیستم ملی هوایی است. مأموریت اصلی آن اطمینان از ایمنی در بخش هوانوردی غیرنظامی است.
این موارد شامل ساخت فرودگاه ها و بهره برداری از آنها ، مدیریت ترافیک هوایی ، صدور گواهینامه پرسنل و هواپیما ، و نظارت بر راه‌اندازی یا ورود وسایل نقلیه فضایی به عرصه تجارت می باشد.
Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the agency of the United States Department of Transportation responsible for the regulation and oversight of civil aviation within the U.S., as well as operation and development of the National Airspace System. Its primary mission is to ensure safety of civil aviation.
These include the construction and operation of airports, the management of air traffic, the certification of personnel and aircraft, and the protection of US assets during the launch or reentry of commercial space vehicles.
