چاشنی انفجاری که در اثر تحریک بیرونی مثل جریان الکتریک و یا فشار منفجر میشود، یکی از کاربرد های این چاشنیها در کپسولهای اطفاء حریق است و چاشنی بعد از انفجار دیافراگم مربوط به کلاهک کپسول اطفاء حریق را پاره نموده و ماده  اطفائیه را از کپسول خارج میکند.

One of the applications of these detonators is in fire extinguishing buttles.
