شارژ الکترو استاتیک یا الکتریسیته ساکن ، بار الکتریکی که در اثر تجمع الکترونهای ساکن بوجود آمده باشد. که بیشتر مواقع در اثر اصطکاک یا مالش ایجاد میشود. بعنوان مثال حرکت سریع یک جسم در هوا که در اثر اصطکاک لایه های هوا با آن جسم باعث تولید الکتریسیته ساکن در سطح جسم می شود.

Static electricity or an electrostatic charge is an excess of electrons which occurs on ungrounded or insulating surfaces. it is often generated by friction between two surfaces, such as the fast movement of an object through an air.
