Cleco Fastener

A patented spring-type fastener used to hold metal sheets until they can be permanently riveted together. A special pair of Cleco pliers pulls the spreader from between the jaws of a Cleco fastener so the jaws will pull together enough for them to pass through the rivet holes drilled in the metal. When the fastener is installed, the pliers release the spreader, which forces the jaws out against the metal and pulls the sheets tightly together.
