در انتهای نوک بعضی از پیچها (یا فستنرها) و قبل از نقطه شروع دندانه ها (رزوه ها) قسمتی استوانه شکل وجود دارد که طول آن نصف قطر پیچ بوده و قطر آن نیز کمی از قطر خود پیچ کمتر است و بعنوان راهنما و قرار دهنده ی پیچ در جای خود جهت تسهیل در زمان بستن آن می باشد.
Description
Threaded Fastener
The point of a threaded fastener cut in the form of a cylinder. The length of the dog point is about one half of the diameter of the bolt, and its diameter is slightly less than the diameter of the bolt at the bottom of the threads. A dog point is used as a pilot, or guide, when assembling parts.
