لنگر خمشی یا گشتاور خمشی ،
در حقیقت یک واکنش القایی است و زمانی به وجود میآید که گشتاور وارد شده به عضو، باعث ایجاد خمش شود. گشتاور یا لنگر به صورت حاصلضرب نیرو در فاصله شناخته شده و با واحدهای نیوتون-متر (N.m) و پوندنیرو-فوت (lbf.ft) اندازهگیری میشود.

A bending moment is the reaction induced in a structural element when an external force or moment is applied to the element causing the element to bend. the most common or simplest structural element subjected to bending moments is the beam.
